Some wood is left ‘as-is’ to preserve its full character while other lots are milled with either a rough sawn or surfaced finish to reveal grain patterns and prepare boards for easier installation.


Many times old barn wood is inconsistent in dimension, color and texture. Crossroads has developed a technique for you to have a consistent dimension and patina with a barnwood look. Think: centuries- old siding from a New England barn, massive beams from an abandoned warehouse, weathered boards from an old fence, or wide-plank flooring from a schoolhouse.
