Our lumber is salvaged and recycled from agricultural, industrial, and large residential buildings throughout the Eastern United States. At This Old Woo we salvage the lumber from old buildings. Most of the wood we find is rare, antique longleaf pine. Some wood is left ‘as-is’ to preserve its full character while other lots are milled with either a rough sawn or surfaced finish to reveal grain patterns and prepare boards for easier installation.

Many times old barn wood is inconsistent in dimension, color and texture. Crossroads has developed a technique for you to have a consistent dimension and patina with a barnwood look. Think: centuries- old siding from a New England barn, massive beams from an abandoned warehouse, weathered boards from an old fence, or wide-plank flooring from a schoolhouse.

Get in contact with some remodeling contractors in your area. Let them know that you will haul away any wood that they tear out of a house. Contractors will be happy to give the antique building materials to you, it will save them a bunch of money on disposal costs. This works best if you are in an area where there are a lot of old houses.
