Primitive rug hooking patterns

Our primitive pattern collection includes rug hooking patterns from both our CHARCO and PRIMCO pattern lines. Patterns in the CHARCO line were designed by Pearl McGown and Jane McGown Flynn. Our PRIMCO line contains rug hooking designs by dozens of additional artists.


All patterns are machine serged. This listing is for one original hand drawn pattern on primitive linen, no wool is included. These designs are all hand-drawn on primitive linen on the strait of the grain with the edges serged. Some rugs are drawn intentionally wonky.


This enhances the antique look of the rug. Some examples of this are Star and Fans, Posy Pony, and Olde Flag. Edges are serged to prevent fraying. A generous border of 3-inches surround each pattern , so it will fit nicely on your frame or hoop. Antique textiles and hooked rugs from the past are often the inspiration or adaptation for my rug designs. Every pattern is hand drawn on primitive linen and intended for hooking with wide cut wool strips. A picture of the finished rug is included with each pattern.
