After staining I let it fully dry (couple of hours) and sealed with Tru oil. I love shellac, but the only way I have to spray amber right now is with a Preval, and I hate those. Zinnser aerosol clear shellac is 1 wax free so you should have no problems with that. Mix colors to match, probably mostly burnt umber, and try a thin wash coat with a fine brush.


It would take real dedication to apply so much of it that the film thickness would interfere with sound in any way.
